October 27th, 2023, Marshfield, Wisconsin – At a check presentation on October 18th, Simplicity Credit Union announced that their second annual volleyball and baggo fundraiser raised $16,768 to benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin.
“We’re excited to be able to make this donation to Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in Marshfield to support the amazing help they provide for kids that need it the most.” Said Angela Heiden, Simplicity CU Mortgage Sales Manager.
Serving for Pat, held on August 19th, 2023, at Skeeter & Otis’ Village Inn in Hewitt, featured a Round Robin-style Volleyball and Baggo tournament with a top prize of $300 for volleyball and $120 for baggo winners. Eight teams played volleyball, and fourteen teams participated in the baggo tournament. This year’s event included Bingo, raffle prizes, and a 50/50 raffle for the roughly 200 attendees.
Ben Bauer, Executive Director of Simplicity CU’s Marketing Agency, added, “We’re grateful to everyone who helped make the 2023 Serving for Pat event a possibility. It takes a team to pull off an event like this!”
The Third Annual Serving for Pat event in 2024 is currently being planned for September 7th, 2024.

This annual fundraiser was created in memory of Simplicity Credit Union’s late President/CEO Pat Wesenberg who passed away in 2021. Pat was an active in the communities we serve, at the state level, nationally, and internationally as a volunteer, donor, and mentor to many people who are grateful for the way she touched their lives.
