Back-to-school time is here again, and even if you’re not buying yourself or someone you love a brand-new box of crayons (which you should if you ask us), it’s a GREAT time to get in the groove with new ideas, habits, and things to try from your favorite credit union family.
Connect with Simplicity at School
Ready for your first quiz of the year? How many school branches does Simplicity CU have?
If you said 4, you get a gold star!
We opened our first High School Branch at Stevens Point Senior High (SPASH). From there, we added a branch at Marshfield High School and Nasonville Elementary, and last school year, we rounded off that number by opening a branch at Loyal Middle School.
Our high school branches offer all the services of our regular branches and a chance for students to learn smart money concepts as members and interns in the branches.
At Nasonville and Loyal, the kids run the show with help from a friendly Simplicity Teammate, and all the students are encouraged to start saving with small deposits every week.
If you’re not a part of one of our school communities, you can still connect and get all the good stuff from Simplicity. Our branches in Marshfield, Stevens Point, Neillsville, and Neenah are here to help kids open their first account, encourage them to save, and even offer online options that will keep them connected if they move away for college.
Save with a RISE Account
Speaking of saving (which we do pretty often), now is the PERFECT time to get into our new RISE Account.
And here’s a fun fact: if you’re a Simplicity CU member, you might already have a RISE Account. We recently moved all our club and youth account members into this new account because it’s a huge improvement for our members.
The RISE Account was tailor-made by the Simplicity Team to have all the features people liked in our club and youth accounts PLUS a more competitive rate to help savings grow even faster. It’s great for your student because they can deposit any amount at any time and withdraw fee-free* at the beginning of every quarter.
But it’s not just our younger members that can use the extra motivation to save. Our RISE Account is just right for all ages to save for the holidays, vacations, or any time of the year. It’s great for Plant Dads, Cat Moms, Football Fans, PC Gamers, Endurance Hikers, Movie Lovers, or people who save all year long just to go to one comic book convention dressed as Plastic Man.
In other words, if you need to save money for things that happen in your life, the RISE Account will work for you.

Learn with Banzai
We’ve been singing the praises of this amazing Fin Lit partner for a dozen years or so, and we’re not gonna stop now.
Banzai started with a program custom-made for tweens to learn basic budgeting and spending concepts. With Simplicity as a sponsor, teachers from our area got free access to booklets for their classes and a unique kind of online learning that kids loved.
From there, Banzai has grown! Now, they have classroom programs for elementary to high school students, online coaches, and a Wellness Center with lessons and calculators ready to work you through every life event imagine.
Simplicity is still sponsoring schools all around the area (to the tune of about 2200 students in 2023 alone!) and we’re looking forward to bringing all of this Fin Lit goodness to our members of ALL AGES for years to come.
That’s a lot to check out, but maybe you’re still hungry for more. No worries, pal!
