August 28th, 2023 Marshfield, Wisconsin – Simplicity CU has been named one of the Best Credit Unions to Work For in the United States by American Banker for the sixth consecutive year.
In partnership with Best Companies Group, American Banker ranked the top 70 Credit Unions in areas like pay and benefits, corporate culture and communication and work environment. This year, Simplicity CU ranked 40th nationwide in the annual survey.
“The Simplicity Team is a collaborative and dynamic group with innovation and dedication at every level.” Nick Faber, Simplicity CEO, said, “It’s because of them that we can again be chosen as an employer of choice.”
In the article accompanying the announcement, American Banker Magazine says, “…winners beat out their competitors in a number of key areas. For instance, 91% of staff members who work at the credit unions that made the list said that they understand the long-term strategy of their employers, according to the survey data. For the credit unions that applied and didn't make the ranking, this figure was 82%.
In terms of corporate culture and communication, 80% of employees at the honorees said they thought that changes that would affect them were communicated prior to implementation. That figure dropped to 66% for the credit unions that did not make the list.
As for training, resources and development, 82% of employees from the winners said they felt they would be rewarded for good work. That figure was 67% for institutions that didn't make the list.”
The notable differentiators highlighted by Simplicity CU staff in this year’s survey included the credit union’s commitment to giving employees the flexibility it takes to balance work, family, friends, and community involvement. They also praised Simplicity’s internal mental well-being podcast that features members of the Simplicity Team sharing their personal stories to help foster dialogue around mental health and wellness.
