Simplicity CU Donates $25K to Mid-State Technical College

Awesome, because we’re here to share another great local project that we had the chance to support with a donation.

“Marshfield, Wis., December 10th, 2021 – 

Simplicity Credit Union, headquartered in Marshfield, WI, is humbled for the opportunity to donate $25,000 to Mid-State Technical College toward the building of an Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, and Apprenticeship Center in Stevens Point, WI.

“Our communities are fortunate to have the kind of future-focused educational opportunities Mid-State Technical College offers.” Says Nick Faber, Simplicity CEO, “And we’re pleased to be a partner in this new endeavor.”

This donation, along with capital donations from other generous community partners, will fund an educational facility designed to meet the need for cutting-edge workforce training. With a projected 2,500 students served annually by The Center, this project promises to bring not just better work-skills training to local manufacturers, but an increase in revenue from food, housing, and other basic needs to the Central Wisconsin Area."

Some members of the Simplicity Team got to visit the Mid-State campus in Stevens Point for a group photo and had the chance to take a tour and learn more about Mid-State’s commitment to providing the area with the technical education we need most.
